Welcome to RPC!

Riverdale Presbyterian Church, first organized in 1863, is a church community whose membership reflects the rich vitality and wonderful diversity of the great city in which we live. The congregation is called and strengthened by the grace of God; committed to the discipleship of Jesus Christ; and trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Worship is the center of our life. In words prayed, preached and spoken, in the beauty of music from organ and choirs, in the joy of friends gathered and strangers welcomed, we find renewal and courage, hope and peace.

Rev. Nadine Hundertmark, Interim Pastor

July 5, 2009 This Sunday at RPC

Dear friends,

At last, a day without rain! And more sunshine in the forecast. This Sunday, come and celebrate God who is always giving us new energy, new vision, new spirit to see beyond the day's travails, to catch a glimpse of abundant life that Christ promised. Worship starts at 10 am in July and August, so be sure to be in church a half hour earlier than usual. Our guest preacher is the Rev. John Muffler. His texts are from Jeremiah 2 and John 4. The sermon is titled "Bottled Water?". Hymns include "A Mighty Fortress is Our God" and "American the Beautiful".

Be safe and happy this Independence Day weekend, giving thanks for the freedom that is ours - God's gift, desire and blessing.

Faithfully,
Nadine
