Sunday School at RPC
For more than fifty years, RPC has offered Church School Programs for young children. There are a number of different programs currently offered at RPC. These programs take place at 10:30 am during the worship services.
Child Care for Infants and Toddlers: Very young children are cared for by church members and parents. There are toys and books appropriate for this age group as well as changing facilities and a pack-‘n-play for sleepy little ones.
Sunday School Pre-K thru 8th Grade: Every year the classes explore different aspects of Christ’s life in ways appropriate for each age and grade level. The lessons follow the themes used for sermons in church so adults and children may share the teachings with one another.
All of our young people typically begin their morning in the worship service. The pastor gathers the children in the front of the church and presents a children's message. Then, the children receive music instruction and learn the songs they will sing for the congregation. The children then break up into their Church School classes: Pre-K, K-1st Graders, 2nd and 3rd Graders for their lessons of the day and their snack. See the curriculum link for more information about the Church School lessons.
Church School classes are also held for children in the 4th and 5th Grade and there is also a class for children grades 6th – 8th grade.
Youth Group: High School students meet for fellowship and service and to discuss the lessons and services.
We are always seeking volunteer help for this program. Please click on the Volunteer Roles link to see some of the ways you can help.
